World class digital preamp processors, since 1997
Founded in Sydney, Australia in the mid-1990s as Clarity EQ Pty Ltd, DEQX has been redefining high-end audio for nearly three decades. In 2003, the company adopted the name DEQX Pty Limited to reflect its breakthrough work in digital loudspeaker correction, crossover design, and room compensation.
A global leader in digital signal processing (DSP), DEQX’s proprietary measurement, calibration, and phase-correct crossover technologies push floating-point DSP to its full potential.
The DEQX founders and R&D team have a long legacy of digital audio innovation. Their contributions to the field have earned international recognition, including an Audio Engineering Society (AES) award for developing the Sound Sampling Synthesizer and Computer Music Sequencing. As one industry expert put it:
“In the audio engineering world, their DSP board is state-of-the-art — bar none.”
DEQX pioneered true loudspeaker correction — tackling not only the frequency-response errors every speaker makes, but the even more critical timing and phase distortions unique to them. It was the first company to deliver low-latency impulse-response correction for speakers, technology trusted early on by EMI’s legendary Abbey Road Studios.
Continuing its track record of firsts, DEQX also developed software for seamless processor integration with any system, and pioneered remote speaker analysis, consultation, and installation support — all online.
DEQX Gen-4: The next evolution in loudspeaker realism
For over two decades, DEQX has led the way in digital loudspeaker correction and phase-accurate crossovers. The new Gen-4 series takes that legacy further—transforming ordinary speakers into extraordinary performers by addressing the weakest link in every audio system: the speakers themselves.
While amplifiers, DACs, and streamers have long chased perfection, loudspeakers still distort time, phase, and frequency. DEQX Gen-4 changes that. By precisely measuring each speaker’s impulse response, the system maps how sound is delayed and misaligned across frequencies. DEQX-Cloud then analyzes these measurements and returns a custom calibration that restores timing coherence and tonal balance—so the music you hear matches the recording, not your room or speaker’s imperfections. Previous DEQX models had only been able to perform a portion of this overall correction.
The result? Every part of the music arrives together, exactly as it was recorded. Clarity improves. Imaging snaps into focus. The sound becomes more open, dynamic, and lifelike — even vinyl reveals hidden detail.
The Gen-4 Lineup

LS200 Integrated Preamp Processor
All-in-one simplicity meets audiophile precision. The LS200 combines DEQX processing, streaming, multiple digital and analog inputs, and a powerful 200-watt stereo amplifier. Just add speakers (and optional subwoofers) and let DEQX-Cloud calibration unlock their full potential.

Pre-4 Preamp Processor
For those who prefer their own amplification, the Pre-4 delivers all the benefits of Gen-4 correction and room compensation in a flexible preamp-processor. Perfect for two-channel or bi-amp configurations.

Pre-8 HD-Active Preamp Processor
The flagship DEQX. The Pre-8 not only corrects speakers and room acoustics—it enables DEQX-Active, the third-generation active architecture. Each driver—woofer, midrange, tweeter—is measured, corrected, and powered by its own amplifier via steep, linear-phase crossovers for total control and unprecedented clarity.
All DEQX Gen-4 Models Include:
• High-resolution streaming (Tidal, Qobuz, AirPlay, Bluetooth)
• Balanced & unbalanced analogue and digital inputs
• Optional USB audio and Dynavector MM phono stage
• Balanced & unbalanced analogue outputs
• Digital S/PDIF outputs for bass, full-range, mids & highs (DEQX-Active)
All three models are available in black or silver and include DEQXpert online setup assistance or dealer installation support.

WHAT THE EXPERTS ARE SAYING
“The new Pre-8 is from another planet… The speakers completely disappear, leaving an unbelievable soundstage, incredible detail, and a rock-solid center image. I can’t imagine replacing it with anything else.”

Why Ultimate ‘Real’ Can’t Be Analogue
For decades, the pursuit of truly lifelike audio has been hampered by inherent, uncorrectable errors in traditional analogue systems, requiring costly engineering efforts to mitigate them. DEQX is leading the next generation of audio with its Gen-4 series, offering precision that analogue Hi-Fi simply cannot achieve. Leveraging cutting-edge multi-core 64-bit, Gigahertz processing, Gen-4 meticulously reconstructs the audio signal with microsecond resolution. This technology restores frequencies that are distorted in time and level, compensating for phase delay and amplitude errors introduced by loudspeaker mechanics to ensure pristine, time-coherent sound. With perfect digital Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and noise levels at -200dB, distortion and noise are non-existent. The Gen-4 lineup includes integrated systems like the LS200, and flagship pre-amplifiers such as the Pre-8, all featuring state-of-the-art components and connectivity to DEQX-Cloud for personalized speaker and room calibration.
